The HomeHouse
*I'm working on getting an updated picture of all of us. This is Christmas Eve 2014.
My name is Savannah and Ian is my husband. The rest of the Homehouse is Jayden-8 yrs, Daelyn-6 yrs, Camryn-5 yrs, and Edison-2 yrs. I have been a stay at home mama with all four. I've gone back to work a few times here and there and it's never really worked being away from my littles. I decided to put my focus and attention into bettering my family. We also share our space with our Kitty Chaplin.
I decided to start a blog after both family and
friends, for the past four years, have been asking me to. And people who haven’t asked about a blog,
ask me about recipes, projects and budgeting via social media. I spend a lot of
time posting things to Facebook and I figured I could write more and put
everything in one space. I was doing a lot of copy and pasting. I have always been pretty active on Facebook but for some reason having a blog has always intimidated me. It's definitely a learning experience but so far, I like it.
One of the ways I felt I could better myself as a stay at home mom, was getting my degree in Human Development. If I do projects or activities with them, I try to keep that developmental piece in mind. I also love anything DIY, decorating, organizing and cooking. We have a small house and a limited budget so I have to get creative.
So far I've talked mostly about my family, but what I like to do for myself is dance, anything with music, movies and television are the ways I decompress and take time for myself. I also find peace in making ordinary things beautiful.
Thanks for reading! And if you like something, let me know and leave a comment!
*When I reread this it all seems very flowery, I can assure you the reality is, my life isn't.
