Over Spring Break we had some colder days Tuna casserole is one of our favorite comfort dinners.
I make a double batch. So for a single batch cut the recipe in half.
*I apologize in advance for "Struggle pictures" I'm looking at ways to make pictures of this dinner look as good as it tastes.

While the noodles are cooking, I mix 2 cans of Tuna fish, 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup, milk, 2 cups cheddar cheese and spices (garlic salt, seasoning salt, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper and cayenne pepper)
*we don't like the texture of onions so fresh onion would work also.

** It's very hard to make this mixture look appealing in a picture.
Once the noodles are done (cooked to al dente) put them in a casserole dish. Mix in the tuna and cheese mixture to the noodles. Top with a little more cheese and some crushed BBQ Chips.
It goes in the oven for about 40 minutes until the top is golden. It is so good!
Recipe:
8 cups of wide egg noodles
2 cans tuna in water
2 cans of cream of mushroom soup
Enough milk to fill the cans of soup
About 3 cups of cheddar cheese
Maybe 1 1/2 cups of crunched BBQ chips
Seasonings:
Garlic Salt
Seasoning Salt
Garlic Powder (Crushed Garlic works)
Onion powder (Fresh onion works)
Black Pepper
Cayenne Pepper
*I don't measure seasonings. My philosophy on seasoning things is it's a feel as you go type deal. Somethings you can taste test as you cook. In this case most of this is sprinkled in, especially the salt you don't want to put too much. I do tend to go heavier on powders and Cayenne pepper. We like spicy in our house. I've also used fresh Garlic and fresh onions. Our house doesn't like the texture and using the powder is faster for me so that is how I make it most often. We've taken the advice from Remi in Ratatouille, Anybody can cook!
This is clearly a comfort food. We grew up eating this and when we ate it was few and far between. When we heard our dad was going to make it, we would chant tuna, Tuna, TUNA! He always made it the best. Whenever I make this for my family it always reminds me of good times in my childhood. We like to add a salad or something green so they get some veggies for dinner as well.
Fun story: Our mom made Tuna Casserole for dinner and completely forgot to add the Tuna. (She hates that story but it's so funny)

Yumm! Love this recipe! Good first post sis! Look forward to more! 👏❤️🙏
